Rāja Vidyā Yog

BG 9.1

Krishna said: I will now reveal to you, doubtless one, the most secret of knowledge which will liberate you from the misery of material existence.

श्री भगवानुवाच
इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे
ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात्


  • śhrī bhagavān uvācha — Krishna said

    श्रीभगवानुवाच
  • idaṁ — this

    इदं
  • tu — but

    तु
  • te — to you

    ते
  • guhyatamaṁ — most secret

    गुह्यतमं
  • pravakṣhyāmyanasūyave — impart to a devotee

    • pravakṣhyāmi — I shall impart

    • anasūyave — devotee
      Anasūyave means "one who does not envy", and interpreted to mean a devotee who does not envy the higher status of God

    प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे
  • jñānaṁ — knowledge

  • vijñāna-sahitaṁ — along with awareness

    • vijñāna — consciousness, awareness, mind

    • sahitaṁ — along with

      सहितम्
  • yaj — which

  • jñātvā — knowing

  • mokṣhyase — you will be released

  • ’śhubhāt — misery of material existence

Krishna said: I will now reveal to you, doubtless one, the most secret of knowledge which will liberate you from the misery of material existence.

This transcendental knowledge is the king of sciences, the ultimate secret, the perfection of religion, and can be understood by direct experience.

Those who are without faith do not obtain this knowledge of Dharma. They remain trapped in the cycle of birth and death in this material world.
