11. Beholding the Form of God

BG 11.4

If you think it is possible for me to see it, then reveal yourself fully to me.

मन्यसे यदि तच्छक्यं मया द्रष्टुमिति प्रभो
योगेश्वर ततो मे त्वं दर्शयाऽत्मानमव्ययम्

  • manyase — you think

  • yadi — if

  • tach — that

  • chhakyaṁ — possible
    śhakyam—possible

  • mayā — by me

  • draṣhṭum — to behold

  • iti — thus

  • prabho — Lord

  • yogeśhvara — Lord of Yoga
    yoga-īśhvara—Lord of Yoga

  • tato — then

  • me — to me

  • tvaṁ — you

  • darśhayātmānam — reveal yourself

  • avyayam — imperishable

Arjuna said: By explaining this highest secret of the self, for the sake of blessing me, my delusion has been lifted.

You have described to me in detail the origin and dissolution of beings, and your own eternal greatness.

I believe all is as you have described it. I now wish to behold your divine form.
